Teke was on death row in a high-kill shelter in California. He was extremely scared and labeled as "special needs". This was his death warrant. Free Spirit saw HIM...... and his worth.

This is one of the most joyful, friendly, and sweetest boys..... that you will ever meet. Teke has a condition called Lumbar Spondylosis. A chronic condition, of the lower back, that inhibits him from walking normal. It does not cause him pain.....and he does not even let it stop him - from being a husky. He, at times, can lean to one side or fall over (while urinating) but he does not know any different. He loves to go for long walks.....and, this boy, can RUN like the wind! 

Teke is one of the most, dog-friendly dogs, ever! He wants to play with every dog he meets! But we only let him romp, with the gentle ones.....that won't jump on him or plow him over.

Teke is a special boy, with special love. He likes to lick your face, while you leash him, and then takes you for excellent adventures.  

Running down the road, chasing butterflies, and even picking ripe raspberries off of the vine. Walking with him, is like being a kid....again. He wants to show you the world!

This boy is very special and we are so glad that we gave him life. He has wonderful gifts to give.... to the most excellent person.

Volunteers are in love with him.  He is crate and potty trained so bringing him home would be a breeze!  Please come meet this wonderful boy- he will fill your life with Joy, Joy, Joy!
