2008 Events

 

			Polar Adventure Days
			This was a new event for Free Spirit this year. The Chicago Park District invited us to Northerly Island, which is right on Lake Michigan, to have a booth in the Visitor Center and perform sled demos out in back. Along with us were with several other outdoor organizations, an ice sculptor, several wildlife, and many others. It was a very fun event for us and for the attendees.
			Husky Howler
			It was a lot cooler than it was last year but this year's Howler was a whole lot lot of fun. We introduced a new game, popcorn catching, which was a big hit along with several of the old favorites coming back this year. The food was awesome and everyone had a wonderful time.
			Siberian Stroll
			It was a cool one for this year's Stroll but we had an excellent turnout for this fundraiser. This was also Jim Ottoson's farewell as he and Igloo were moving. It was fun for one and all with plenty of walking and plenty of food for man and beast.
