This young, compact little guy is Wolf!
During the pandemic, Wolf was surrendered due to his former owner lost their job leaving
them overwhelmed caring for their 3 younger children. He grew up with younger kids
where he gained some basic commands but we feel he could certainly fine tune a few
of his skills.
Wolf is a husky, American Eskimo mix that is full of sound and in need of regular
routine grooming. This parti-blue eyed boy has been known to leap like Michael Jordan
over a 4ft gate and will need a fenced in yard and proper supervision when outside.
Wolf is a bit cautious with men but likes most people he has met. Others have just
taken a little time to gain his trust before he's willing to give kisses and allow
pets. Wolf has some neck sensitivity but adores a solid chin scratch.
This happy prancer enjoys a nice walk and walks very well on leash. He can be selective
to other dogs but enjoys our group walks at the rescue. Wolf has a bit of a prey drive,
as we were told he used to chase the birds and small critters in his yard, so we may
not recommend other small house companions for him. And though he can be a bit possessive
while eating, he is very well mannered while in his kennel during that time.
Come meet Wolf! Perhaps YOU might be his next reason for prancing out of the rescue
doors!
This dog requires an adopter to come out to the rescue three times in order to build up trust and form a bond with this dog before going home. Please talk to your adoption coordinator regarding the behaviors we have been working with this particular dog and the training techniques we have seen improvement with. We will also need the name and number of the trainer you plan on using before they will go home.
