ADOPTING

Please note: We do not adopt to applicants who live more than 4.0 hours from Harvard, Illinois.

 Thank you for your interest in the adoption of a Siberian Husky from Free Spirit Siberian Rescue.

We do request a minimum donation to help defray medical costs:

Siberian Husky/Canine adoption fees are as follows:

Puppies up to one year are $350
Adults 1 yr to 7 years are $300
Adults 8 years and over are $250

Please Note: All fees are non-refundable. We will make every attempt to assist you in working with your dog. If the dog is not suitable, FSSR will assist in finding you a more suitable dog.

All rescued dogs receive the following veterinary care:

+Spayed or Neutered (All Siberians)
+DHLPPC, Bordatella
+Rabies Shot
+Heartworm
+Tested (put on Preventative)
+Microchipped

Here are the steps involved in adopting.

Step 1:

Read the information about Siberian Huskies to determine if you feel you are an appropriate candidate for adopting a Husky.

Step 2:

Complete the Husky Application Form by (clicking here). For dogs of other breeds, complete the Other Breeds Application Form by (clicking here).

Once the application has been received and verified you will be contacted by a rescue representative to be invited to our next Adoption Open House at Free Spirit Siberian Rescue. These are normally held on weekends, two times a month.

If you want a copy of our adoption application, email us at forms@huskyrescue.org and put in the subject line which application you want and it will be sent to you in a Microsoft Word document.

Step 3:

Once you meet the dog you are interested in, agree to adopt, and are approved for adoption by Free Spirit Siberian Rescue, a home visit / delivery will be scheduled.

FOSTERING

Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster home and caretaker of a Free Spirit Siberian Husky. It is with your help and efforts that we have the ability to continue saving lives of many huskies and ultimately placing them in happy and loving homes.
